Some patterns today are very nicely laid out but a pain to try and read – without speclal reading glasses. I had this on a gorgeous lacy carigan patter and after I contacted the supplier, they printed the pattern ou much larger and . I do love knitting by am what you call a spasmodic hobbyist. I tend to knit more in the winter time – it strikes me as the perfect pastime to carry out whilst toasting in front of a roaring fire. Anyway, i my keeness to get a garment finished in less than the standad 5 year period, I have been making sure I finish my working day by 5.30 so I can get a quick meal organised and be sat down in front of the tv before 6.30. The choice of pattern this time is a little challenging but so interesting – the brders of my sweater including the cuffs are knitted in a wonderfuly bolt lacy bobbly pattern. It needs a great deal of concentration on the bobble line and the oft repeated lacy row. My yarn is a strangely powerful grass green and it was bought to go with a splendid skirt from a charity shop. I’ll get it finished soon, then on to the next thrilling pattern!
